This is one of my favorite poems from my book MOUTHFUL. If you like it and wanna buy a copy, you can get one here.
SLUSHY
i didn't know
the joy i'd feel
when i bought you
the lemonade slushy
at the fair today
had i known
this drink
would turn to pee
and end up
in my mouth
i would've
ordered you 2
I wrote this in the West Village last year standing in front of an Equinox waiting for someone or something— I don’t recall.
Enjoy 💕
A blurb from BRONTEZ PURNELL (Author of 100 Boyfriends) on my book.
"MOUTHFUL KEEPS A RUNNING LYRICAL TAB OF ALL OF THE STRAY, HORNY, QUOTIDIAN, ANXIOUS BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, GENEROUS THOUGHTS RACING THROUGH MATT'S HANDSOME LITTLE' HEAD. *CHEF'S KISS*”
