My mom doesn't like my poetry

I asked my mom a few years ago how she felt about my poetry and this^^ is how she responded.

She’s told me on a few occasions that she doesn’t like my poetry but despite that, still drove from Cincinnati to New York for my book launch, sat front row and videotaped the entire thing with a big smile on her face. I might not be her favorite poet, but she still shows up and that’s all that matters. Love you mom!!
